The Hurt Locker has dominated Oscar proceedings, earning six awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.

Kathryn Bigelow's low-budget, Iraq War drama beat out the box office giant Avatar, which earned three for Art Direction, Cinematography and Visual Effects.

Jeff Bridges won Best Actor for Crazy Heart (which also won Best Song for "Weary Kind"), Sandra Bullock won Best Actress for The Blind Side, Mo'nique won for Best Supporting Actress for Precious (which also won Best Adapted Screenplay) and Christoph Waltz won for Inglourious Basterds.

Pixar's Up also won two Oscars, including Best Animated Feature and Best Score.
