There are several downsides to being a politics major. One, nobody else cares about politics except you. People think about politics, but they don't think about politics. A second downside is that you're often approached with vague political enquiries and asked to explain them in basic terms. Like 'why are politicians so frightfully ugly?' and 'I keep voting Greens, how come they're not getting into power?' It is this second question I will approach today.
